Alberto Cimadamore

April 8, 1936 – June 15, 2026
Age 90
Hamilton, Ontario

Alberto Cimadamore passed away on June 15, 2026, in his 91st year. He was the beloved husband of Laura Cimadamore (nee Perticarini) for 67 years. Alberto will be sadly missed by his children, Teresa (Luciano) Memme and Joseph (Diana), and is now reunited with his daughter, Rosanne, who passed away in 1968. He was predeceased by his parents, Rocco and Rosa Cimadamore, and his in-laws, Giuseppe and Teresa Perticarini. Alberto was an adored Nonno to Natasha (Anthony), Nicole (Christian), and Joseph. He was the dearest brother of the late Adina Mandozzi (late Giuseppe), the late Lina Biancucci (late Blandino; late Ralph Martinello), Gina Martelli (late Leonardo), brother-in-law of the late Mary Santandrea (late Jack), and Gloria Perticarini. He was loved by his many nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours, and friends, both in Canada and Italy. Born on April 8, 1936, in Sant'Elpidio a Mare, Le Marche, Italy, Albert immigrated to Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, in 1949 at the age of 13. He was a welder by trade and became well known for his handcrafted 'Cim'-stamped wood-burning stoves. In 1969, he took on a new venture, Cimadamore Fruit Farm. Above all else, Albert's greatest joy was spending time with family and friends. His home was often filled with laughter, good food, and lively gatherings, from family celebrations to World Cup soccer parties. Deeply proud of his Italian roots and equally proud to call Canada home, he carried forward cherished traditions through homemade wine, prosciutto, salami, capicoli and sausage-making. He found happiness in his garden and on the farm, where he honed his tree-grafting skills over many years. A man of deep faith, he was a devoted Catholic who faithfully attended the 8:30 a.m. Mass at Our Lady of the Assumption Parish each Sunday, remaining steadfast in his faith even when his health prevented him from attending.
