Larry Andrew SMITH
Larry Andrew Smith passed peacefully on March 7, 2026, at his home in Hagersville in his 90th year. He was 89 years old at the time of his passing. Larry is predeceased by his parents, Calvin and Olive Smith. He married the love of his life, Molly Elizabeth Jackson, on October 21, 1961, and they celebrated together for 64 years. Larry was survived by his brother Wayne Smith and his wife Jo-Anne. He is also survived by his children, Scott Smith and his wife Toni, Trevor Smith and his wife Bev, Sally Smith, and Aaron Smith and his wife Heidi. Larry was a loving grandfather to Callum, Carly, and Cassidy Smith, Trevor Jr. Smith, Sydney and Michael Almas, Megan and Alyse Baxter, Jacob, Olivia, and Adam Smith. He was a great-grandpa to Blake Smith and was predeceased by baby Claire Almas. Larry attended Moler Barber School in Winnipeg, Manitoba, from 1957 to 1958 and went on to have a 59-year career in barbering. He worked alongside his friend Jim Dickson at Jim and Larry's Barber Shop and The Clipper Ship for 50 years. Larry was a member of the Hagersville Legion for over 60 years and served as a Hydro Director for 16 years with Haldimand Hydro. He enjoyed playing hockey and skating, and was awarded in 1981 for his contributions to minor hockey. Larry was also an avid golfer and member of Sundrim Golf Club and MontHill Golf and Country Club. He loved traveling with his wife Molly and spending time with friends.
