Keith Wilmer Elson Schaeffer passed away on June 23, 2026, at the age of 85. He was the son of the late Wilmer and Helen Schaeffer. Keith is survived by his wife, Kathleen Elizabeth Schaeffer, with whom he shared 64 years of marriage. He is also survived by his children, Kevin Schaeffer and his wife MarieBeth, and Keitha Lindsay and her late husband Gerald, as well as her partner Twan Lemmens. Keith's grandchildren, MarieJo, Monica and her husband Chris, Jerome Bantay, Alexandra and her husband Spencer, and Zohie Lindsay, will lovingly remember him. He is also survived by his great-grandson, Christian Currithers. Keith was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Hester, and her late husbands, Gordon, James, and Edward. He is the oldest brother to Ethel Parkin and her late husband Gary, Kathleen Knaap and her husband Art, Roy Schaeffer and his wife Jane, Betty McIlwrick and her late husbands Tom and Lou Youngblut, Walter Schaeffer and his wife Mary, Raymond Schaeffer and his wife Gwen, Fay Schaeffer and his wife Nadine, Craig Schaeffer and his wife Dawna, Clayton Schaeffer and his wife Judy, and Trudy Schaeffer. Keith was also the brother-in-law to the late Christine Austin and her late husband Bob, Sue Basile and her husband Tony, Kelli Schaffer and her late husbands Bill Schaffer and Lee Heil, and Carl Wolters. He is survived by many nieces and nephews. A graveside service will take place at Balmoral Cemetery, with the date to be announced later.
