Steve (Stylianos) Ioannou-Johnson
Steve (Stylianos) Ioannou-Johnson passed away peacefully on July 25, 2026, at the age of 67, having just celebrated his birthday on July 5th. He is survived by his wife and best friend of 47 years, Lisa Myers; his mother, Magdalena (Strahl) Johnson; his brother, Michael Johnson (Heather McLaverty); his brother-in-law, Jayson Myers (Sandra); his feline daughters, Jeanie and LindyAnna; and his fille de coeur, Aurélie Hébert. Papy Steve will be sorely missed by Julien and Maya Hébert. He is also deeply missed by a nephew and two nieces, as well as his many dear friends, including special friends Jessica Grace and Ivy and Kemper Cureatz. Steve was predeceased by his loving father, Anastasios (Tasos) Ioannou-Johnson, and dearly loved cousins, Anna Papadopoulos, Jim Stojsin, and George Trypis. Born in Toronto, Steve experienced many adventures as a boy, including time in Sea Cadets, summer activities in the Yukon, and competitive swimming at the YMCA. He attended the University of Guelph, where he met his wife and graduated with a BA in computing and information science and a minor in fine art. Steve worked as a computer programmer and analyst, eventually establishing his own consulting company, and was passionate about swimming and golfing.
