Peter MOORE

Peter Moore passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, April 10, 2026, at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Guelph, at the age of 70. He was the proud father of Chris and Amanda, Jordan and Madeline. Peter was the cherished brother of Dianne and Larry Horsburgh. He will be remembered by his nieces and nephews, Cathy, Jeff and his wife Leanne, Greg and his wife Misti, Lisa and her husband Dan, Christie and her husband Jon, Becky and her husband Mike, as well as many great-nieces and nephews, his sister-in-law Karen Moore-Ruttan, brother-in-law Vern Hill, and the Logel family. Peter was predeceased by his parents, Orramill and Ivy Moore, his sister Sue Hill, his brothers David Moore and Raymond in infancy. Peter was involved with the South Woolwich Baseball League and had a passion for sports, particularly hockey, baseball, and football. He also loved classic rock music. After a long career at Home Hardware, Peter spent his later years delivering The Record, which allowed him to maintain his connection with the community of St. Jacobs and Woolwich Township. The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at Caressant Care, Fergus, and St. Joseph's Health Centre for their outstanding and compassionate care. Cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 1-5 p.m. at the Dreisinger Funeral Home, 62 Arthur St. S., Elmira, with words of remembrance at 2 p.m. Donations to Liver Canada would be appreciated and may be made through the funeral home.
