Maria PIACAMPO

Maria Piacampo passed away peacefully on April 19, 2026, at Hospice Wellington in Guelph, at the age of 90, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on June 28, 1935, in Rocca San Giovanni, Italy, Maria is now reunited with her husband, Luigi Piacampo, as well as her parents, Annina Moretti and Francesco Caravaggio, her in-laws, Carmina DiCrisci and Giuseppe Piacampo, and her brother, Paolo Caravaggio. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Rosanna and Maurizio, and her grandchildren, including Christina, Jessica, Andria, Jared, Daniel, Robert, and Steven. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, including Sierra, Mathew, Alessandra, Sofia, Anthony, Nora, Luke, Arthur, Kayla, Elliot, and Jacob. Maria is also survived by her siblings, Iolanda, Tonino, Angela, and Lidia, as well as several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, and nephews. After immigrating to Canada in 1966, Maria settled in Guelph, where she worked in a bakery and later at St. Joseph Hospital until her retirement. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home.
