Luigia GOEGAN

Luigia Goegan passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at the age of 89. She was the devoted wife of the late Aldo Goegan. Luigia was a loving mother of John Goegan, Carla Goegan, the late Cathy Goegan, Carol Burnham and her husband Dan, and Aldo Goegan Jr and his partner Martin. She was a proud Nonna to her six grandchildren, Nicole Pestill, Alicia Robinson and her husband Michael, Amanda Goegan, the late Eric Goegan, Ryan Burnham, and Laura Burnham. Luigia was a cherished great-grandmother to Sadie, Jack, and Winston. She was a dear sister-in-law and friend to Veronica Campagnolo and a treasured Zia to her nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy. Luigia was predeceased by her siblings, Antonietta, Valentino, Giuseppe, Rosina, Natale, Eraldo, Rodolfo, and Arturo. She is survived by her sister-in-law in Italy, Antonietta. The family will receive friends at the Gilbert MacIntyre & Son Funeral Home, Dublin Chapel, on Wednesday, February 4th from 5-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 5th at Basilica of Our Lady Immaculate. Entombment will be at Our Lady Immaculate Mausoleum, Marymount Cemetery. Donations to the Eden House Care Facility or the Foundation of Guelph General Hospital would be greatly appreciated by the family.
