Louise (née Norris) THORNTON

Louise (née Norris) Thornton passed away on August 24, 2025, at the age of 97, at the Guelph General Hospital. She was the beloved wife of Jack (2003) and is survived by her children, Gary Thornton (Brenda) of St. Thomas, Wendy Switzer (Ben) of Guelph, and Gail Thornton of Orillia. Louise was predeceased by her siblings, George Norris (1978), Tom Norris (1977), and Anne (Lenore) Mulder (2018). She was the dearly loved grandma of Bianca Sarmazian (Raffi), Kelly Foster (Al), Jacquie Fell (Craig), Josie Quigley (Andrew), and Matt Quigley (Jenny), and a proud Great Grandma to Oliver and Yeva Sarmazian, Jack and Piper Foster, and Tessa and Marshall Fell. Cremation has taken place in accordance with her wishes. A memorial service will be held at St. George's Anglican Church, Guelph, on Sunday, September 7th, at 2 p.m., with reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. George's Church or the Guelph Humane Society would be appreciated.
