George William Lange

George William Lange passed away peacefully on August 9, 2026, at the age of 91, after a short illness at Hospice Wellington in Guelph. Born on March 1, 1935, in Edmonton, George was a respected businessman and long-time patron of the arts. He is survived by his brother Gordon, sister Joan Clark, sister-in-law Gail, and several nieces and nephews. George was predeceased by his parents Carl and Margaret Lange, and brother-in-law Kent. He had a distinguished career with the Canadian National Railways, serving as assistant vice-president of Executive Development and Succession Planning upon his retirement in 1994. George was also a devoted classical music fan and generous philanthropist. Funeral arrangements are being handled by WALL-CUSTANCE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL.
