David Ross Pocock (joseph)

David Ross Pocock passed away on September 13, 2025, at the age of 91. Born in 1934 to Rev. Lawrence Pocock and Patience Ross, David was the beloved husband of the late Doreen Kirk. Together they shared 56 years of marriage and had two children, Nancy, married to John, and Janet, married to Ian. He was a proud grandfather to Jacob, Evelyn, Alexander, and his wife Danielle, and Elizabeth, and her husband Clark. David is also survived by his sister Pauline and brother-in-law John Berridge, sister-in-law Wendy Kirk, and many nieces and nephews. A graduate of Western University, David taught in Callander, Collingwood, and spent 30 years at John F. Ross High School in Guelph. He was respected as a teacher and mentor. David was an active member of St. George's Church and volunteered in the community, especially at the Evergreen Senior Centre. He enjoyed cooking, playing bridge, cards, and games with his family, and was an avid reader and sports fan.
