Benito "Benny" Monico
Benito 'Benny' Monico peacefully passed away on June 2, 2025, at the age of 89, in Egerton Village at Riverside Retirement and Long-Term Care Home. Born on May 5, 1936, he was the owner and operator of Centennial Plumbing & Heating and Gas Work, and the proprietor of Centennial Apartments. Benny was predeceased by his newborn daughter, Stefany Lynn, on April 1, 1967, and by his brothers, Giuseppe and wife Luigina, Guglielmo, Gino, Maria and Francesco Simeoni, Tranquillo and Aurora Monico, Liberale Monico, and John Monico. He is survived by his wife, Paula; Jennie and Mario Maggiolo; Kevin and Jessica Monico; and his grandsons, Logan, Lucas, and Mason Maggiolo. Benny is also survived by his sisters, Gina and Luciana, and sisters-in-law, Gina and Maria Monico. He will be missed by many nieces and nephews. Benny was a long-time member of St. Joseph's Church and the Knights of Columbus, and a dedicated usher at the 10:15 mass. He was also the president of the 'Comitato S. Pio X' for over 50 years.
