Dennis Raymond COLAMECO

Dennis Raymond COLAMECO passed away on February 9, 2026, at the age of 85. He was the beloved husband of Mary (née Scullino) since 1969, a devoted father to Michael (Joanne Basso), David (Sarah Little), and Joseph (Monika Tupholme), and a proud grandfather to Michael, Nicholas, Wesley, Sophie, Ethan, Jordan, and Mila. Born and raised in Timmins, Ontario, Dennis later settled in Burlington with Mary. He is survived by his brothers, Norman (Dorothea Longo) and Paul (Darlene Hollick (deceased), Tammy Sabourin), and was predeceased by his sister, Joan (Dennis O'Hare). He will be fondly remembered by his extended family and many friends. Dennis enjoyed a successful career in media sales, working in newspapers and at radio stations including CKBB, CKEY, CFNY, and Q107, before finishing at The Weather Network, where he helped pioneer website advertising. An active member of the Probus Club of Burlington, he loved golf, curling, and jazz music. A talented pianist and accordionist, he was known for his warmth, humour, and ability to light up any room. Visitation will be held at Smith's Funeral Home, 1167 Guelph Line (one stop light north of the QEW), Burlington (905-632-3333), on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 1:00 - 4:00 p.m. Donations to Joseph Brant Hospital are appreciated.
