Sharon Cherwaty

Sharon Rose Cherwaty passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026, at the age of 84, after recently celebrating her 84th birthday. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Dan Cherwaty, and her parents, Wilfred and Kathleen Krop. Sharon is survived by her children, Scott and his wife Jane, and Stacey and her husband Dan Pergentile, as well as her grandchildren, Blake, Logan, Reid, Dylan, Emerson, Elliotte, and Everett. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Johanna Connelly, and her husband William. Sharon was a devoted mother and grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, playing cards, and watching television. The family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at West Lincoln Memorial Hospital and to her dear friend Mary. Visitation will be held at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME in Grimsby on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 3:00 - 5:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be celebrated at St. Helen's Roman Catholic Church in Beamsville on Saturday, July 18, 2026, at 10:30 a.m., followed by interment at Our Lady of the Angels Cemetery in Stoney Creek. Donations in Sharon's memory may be made to Crohn's and Colitis Canada or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
