James Robert DODDS

James Robert Dodds passed away unexpectedly but peacefully at his home on Monday, May 25, 2026, at the age of 77. He was the beloved father of Timothy Dodds and his wife Sangita Alegria, and Tanya Warby and her husband Ron. James was the cherished grandfather of Parker Dodds and Grace Warby. He is also survived by his sister, Diana Lukianchuk and her husband Harry, and his nieces and nephews, David, Cindy and her husband Jordan, and Andrew Dodds. James was predeceased by his parents, Reginald Dodds and Mary, and his brother, Douglas Dodds. He will be deeply missed by the mother of his children, Sue Dodds, and his partner, Tom Bruyns. James is also survived by Peter Bruns and family, Lisa Davies and her family, and his extended families across the country. A lifelong resident of Grimsby, James attended Lakeview Elementary and Grimsby Secondary School. He was a dedicated member of the Grimsby Minor Hockey Association community, serving as a player, coach, and official. James was a skilled iron and sheet metal building erector, and worked as the co-proprietor of Westgate Structures Ltd., and later as the ambassador of Canadian Metal Buildings Inc.
