Catherine "Cathy" Faye (nee Dier) HEYWOOD

Catherine 'Cathy' Faye Heywood (nee Dier) passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on Friday, December 19, 2025, in her 71st year. She was the beloved wife of John Heywood, devoted mother to Sean (Jenn) and Kevin (Marie), and proud grandmother to Taylor, Trystan, Evelyn, and Cole. Cathy was the dear sister of Bill Dier (Linda) and aunt of Kate (Dillon). She was predeceased by her parents Helen and Stan Dier. Cathy dedicated 40 years to nursing, serving at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton and West Lincoln Memorial Hospital in Grimsby. As per Cathy's wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of life will be held at STONEHOUSE-WHITCOMB FUNERAL HOME, 11 Mountain Street, Grimsby, on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 2-4 p.m. Donations to West Lincoln Memorial Hospital Foundation would be deeply appreciated by the family.
