Aartje "Atie" Zylstra

Aartje 'Atie' Zylstra passed away on February 14, 2026, at the age of 92. She was the beloved wife of the late Hielke 'Harold' Zylstra, who predeceased her in 2017. Aartje is survived by her children, Ralph, Catherine 'CJ', and Jeff, as well as her grandchildren, Zachary, and her siblings, Ans Duivesteyn, Chris Streefkerk, and John Streefkerk. Aartje was a devoted mother, sister, and friend, and her family was always of utmost importance to her. She was known for her strong faith and her love of singing in various choirs. Visitation will be held at Stonehouse-Whitcomb Funeral Home, 11 Mountain Street, Grimsby, on February 27, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 10:30 a.m., followed by a reception. A private burial will take place at Mountview Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Alzheimer Society would be appreciated by the family.
