Betty Ann (nee Kolochuk) THOMPSON

Betty Ann Thompson (nee Kolochuk) passed away on January 27, 2026, in her 71st year. She was the beloved wife of Douglas Keith Thompson, who predeceased her, and the stepmother of David and Tiffany, who also predeceased. Born in St. Catherines, Betty was the youngest daughter of Roy and Annie Kolochuk. She is survived by her sisters, Olga and Patricia (Wayne) Carpenter, and brothers, Ray (Mary) Kolochuk and Ron (Lynn) Kolochuk. She will also be remembered by her nieces, Dianna and Julie, and nephews, Ryan and Gavin, and their children. Betty retired from GM Motors and moved to Gravenhurst to live with her husband. She enjoyed music and travel, and will be remembered for her sense of adventure, sense of humor, and quiet strength. The family wishes to acknowledge the compassionate care provided by Orillia Soldiers Memorial Hospital Home Dialysis Unit and Paramed through Ontario Health at Home. A walk-out procession was held at the time of her passing, accompanied by The Beatles and her beloved song, 'Let It Be'.
