Rev. Janice Barbara AYLWARD

Rev. Janice Barbara Aylward of Goderich passed away peacefully on August 3, 2026, at the Huron Residential Hospice, Clinton, in her 81st year. She will be remembered by her partner, Dorothy 'Dot' Halley; her son, Andrew Pollock (Hugo); her daughter, Fiona Rodriques (Ian); and her granddaughter, Emma. Jan is also survived by her nieces, Kate and her children, Molly and Amy; Helen and her son, Jack; and her friends, Leslie and Bob Sedore. She enjoyed time with her four-legged family, Buddy, the rescue dog, and Rosie, the rescue cat. Jan was predeceased by her parents, Herbert and Florence Aylward, and her sisters, Joan Dalton, Peggy Miles, and Hazel Aylward. Rev. Jan graduated from Emmanuel College in 1995 and was ordained in the United Church of Canada, serving in several congregations. A burial service will be held at Chesterfield Cemetery on August 26, 2026, at 11 a.m., followed by a lunch and time to remember Rev. Jan at Peace United Church, Plattsville. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Huron Residential Hospice would be appreciated.
