Loretta May "Honey" (nee Schnarr) ZETTELL

Loretta May Zettell, of Goderich, passed away on February 10, 2026, at the age of 95. Born on September 6, 1930, in Bloomingdale, Ontario, she was the daughter of Alvin Phillip Schnarr and Elizabeth Mary Forler. Loretta attended public school in Bloomingdale and St. Mary's High School in Kitchener, where she met her husband, Jerry Zettell. They were married on June 26, 1950, and had nine children between 1951 and 1966. Loretta worked at Smiles & Chuckles Chocolates and as a cashier at Zehrs Stanley Park, and was an active member of The Catholic Women's League and St. Peter's Church in Goderich. She is survived by her children Susan Zettell, Andy Watt, Daniel Watt, Noelle England, Lilah Watt, Mae Watt, John Watt, and Atlas Westlan, and was the last living member of both the Schnarr and Zettell families.
