Michael Sean Shook (Mike)

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael Sean Shook, known as Mike, on May 22, 2024, at the age of 51. He was the cherished son of Sandra and Wayne Shook of Kingston and is survived by his siblings, Scott Shook (Christine) and Shelley York, along with numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins who will miss him dearly. Born in Kingston, Mike graduated from Frontenac High School and later from Algonquin College, which paved the way for a successful career at J.L. Richards and Associates in Ottawa, where he served as the manager of structural design technology. An avid lover of nature and adventure, Mike enjoyed biking, snowboarding, kayaking, and climbing throughout his life. In lieu of flowers, donations to mental health services or a charity supporting nature and outdoor causes would be appreciated. A celebration of life will take place on Tuesday, June 4th, from 6 to 9 PM at 500 Canatara Court.
