Jorgen Ove Bernt

Jorgen Ove Bernt passed away peacefully on June 22, 2026, at the age of 95, at the Georgetown Hospital. Born on November 17, 1930, in Copenhagen, Denmark, he is survived by his loving wife Marilyn and their children Kurt, Karen and her husband Brian, and Kirsten and her husband Andrew. He was a proud grandfather to Ashley, Jonah, Ella, and Leif. Jorgen will be remembered by his many friends in Georgetown, Oakville, Prince Edward County, Peterborough, and beyond. A successful entrepreneur and avid sailor, he enjoyed bringing joy to those around him. Following cremation, a funeral service and celebration of life will be held on July 27th from 1 to 4 p.m. at Glen Oaks Funeral Home and Cemetery in Oakville. The family appreciates donations to the Georgetown Hospital Foundation in his memory.
