Elizabeth (Betty) Blackney Murray

Elizabeth (Betty) Blackney Murray passed away on May 22, 2024, at the age of 89. Born on June 12, 1934, in Glasgow, Betty was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, James Murray. She is survived by her children, Scott Murray and Darlene Tobin, as well as her granddaughters, Paige and Claire Tobin. Betty was a devoted mother and grandmother, known for her warmth and hospitality. She worked in various roles throughout her life, including as a cashier and customer service professional. Betty and her husband, Jim, met in Glasgow in 1955 and remained smitten until his passing. They emigrated to Canada in 1957 and lived in several locations before settling in the Gananoque area in 2016. Betty will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
