Donald Joseph Henry Brown

Donald Joseph Henry Brown passed away on July 16, 2026, at the Kingston Health Sciences Centre, at the age of 83. He was the beloved husband of Sheila (née Russell) and a devoted father to Kevin Brown (Sue Bartleman) and Shelley Brown. Donald was a cherished grandfather to Henry, Catherine, Crew, Nash, and Brynn. He is survived by his siblings Marie Greffe, Louise Tayti, and Tony Brown, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters, Fran Hart, May Brown, and Patricia Persaud, and two brothers, Lorne Brown and Andrew Brownwright. Donald dedicated his career to the family business, Brown Customs Brokerage, until his retirement in 1998. A long-time member of the Rotary Club of Cornwall, he enjoyed retirement in Gananoque, where he loved spending time on the St. Lawrence River and golfing. Friends may visit Tompkins Funeral Home in Gananoque on August 21 from 7:00-9:00 p.m. and August 22 from 9:30-10:30 a.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. John the Evangelist Church at 11:00 a.m., followed by a reception. Donations to the Alzheimer's Society are appreciated.
