Lynne Barbara Misener passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026, at the age of 76, at Hilltop Manor, from Alzheimer's-related health complications. She was the beloved wife of Donald, who predeceased her just 68 days earlier. Lynne will be forever missed by her children, Tricia Misener and Jeanine Gingrich (Stephen). She was a loving grandmother to Joshua, Becki, and Cal, as well as a step-grandmother to Georgia and Stevie. Lynne was predeceased by her parents, George and Verna Hilker; her parents-in-law, Orval and Jean Misener; her son, Thadious; her brothers, Allan Hilker and Randy Hilker; her sister, Donna Bradbury; her sisters-in-law, Marilyn Hilker and Barb Harvie; and her brothers-in-law, Jack Harvie, Larry Misener, and George McCue. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Linda Hilker and Gail McCue; brothers-in-law, Jim Bradbury; and her cousins, Susan Yam, Peggy Wise (Neil), and Marion Oxley (Stu), as well as many nieces and nephews. Lynne was born and raised in Galt, Ontario, and was a graduate of Glenview Park Secondary School. She worked at Cambridge Memorial Hospital for over 32 years as an OR clerk until her retirement in 2017. She was a dedicated employee and is remembered for her kindness to patients and fellow employees. Lynne was very talented at sewing, often making alterations for her family and friends. She was an avid garage saler and also loved animals. She enjoyed spending time with her pets and watching the birds in her backyard. The family wishes to thank the dedicated staff in the Grand River Unit at Hilltop Manor for the wonderful care that they provided to Lynne over the last two years. Family and friends will be received for visitation at Corbett Funeral Home, 95 Dundas St. N., Cambridge, on Friday, February 6, 2026, from 1-2 p.m. A memorial service will be held on the same day at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. As expressions of sympathy, donations in Lynne's memory can be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
