Nancy "Nance" Marie Sokolowski (neé Bechard)
Nancy, a long-time resident of Kitchener, passed away peacefully on February 6, 2026, at the age of 77. Born in Chatham to Victor and Jean (neé Klink) Bechard. Nancy was a kind and gentle soul who found beauty in butterflies, the joy of a dog's wagging tail, and the music of John Lennon. A devoted music lover and a regular at local pow wows, Nancy was known for her generous spirit and her Christmas cookies. Above all, she was a pillar of support, always ready to offer guidance and a listening ear. Nancy is survived by her devoted husband of 27 years, John, and her loving daughters, Rhonda, Jackie and Reneé. She was a proud grandmother to Tyler, Trevor, Jessica, Tristian, Riley, and Caleb. Great-grandmother to Aiden and Logan. She will be missed by her siblings, Mary, Judi, Jeff, Jim, and Liz. She leaves behind her pets, including Molly, Paddy, and Nikki. She is reunited in peace with her parents, her sister, Carol; her brother, Bob; and her beloved grandson, Joshua. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the ICU staff at Grand River Hospital for their compassionate care. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
