Ricky "Rick" Bonato

Ricky Robert Bonato passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, at the age of 71, surrounded by his loved ones at his home in Fort Erie, Ontario. Born on June 8, 1955, in Niagara Falls, Ontario, Rick is survived by his loving wife, Jenny Marinaccio, and their son, Tyler, and his wife, Jessica. He is also survived by his siblings, Jane Blackmore and her husband, Gerry, Anthony, Larry, and Carla Zeman, as well as his brother-in-law, Vince Marinaccio, and his wife, Krystl, and his sister-in-law, Connie Renshaw, and her husband, David. Rick was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Vito Marinaccio. Throughout his career, Rick worked as a surveyor in Northern BC, Alberta, and the Arctic, before joining Delcan Corp, later Parsons Group, as an engineering technician, designing roads in the Niagara region. A celebration of life will be held on August 16th at the Bridgewater Country Club in Fort Erie. Donations may be made to the Ontario Lung Association or the charity of one's choice.
