John SULLIVAN

John SULLIVAN passed away on February 18, 2026, at the age of 92. He was the husband of Alma and the father of Andrew, Patrick (Nancy), Mary Kate (Leonard), and the late Matthew (1998). John was also the grandfather of Henry and Violet, and the uncle of several nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Fort Erie, John was the only son of Charles and Martha Sullivan. He grew up on the Niagara River where his parents owned Sullivan's Fish and Chips. John was a mechanical engineer with a remarkable career in life support sciences, contributing to breathing equipment for healthcare, firefighting, and the NASA space program. He was a graduate of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Mass. John's family is grateful for the compassionate care he received at Niagara Falls General Hospital. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, February 25, at 11 a.m. at St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Fort Erie, followed by a private family interment. The family will then gather at Bridgewater Country Club to share memories.
