James Douglas SAUER

James Douglas Sauer passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 4, 2026, at the age of 80, at his home in Fort Erie, Ontario. Born on June 21, 1945, Doug was raised near the family farm and attended various schools. He was employed by General Motors from 1964 until his retirement in 2006 and later worked at Rosehill Auction House. Doug enjoyed yearly trips to Orlando, camping, and watching his favourite team, the Penguins. He spent over 50 years volunteering for Niagara Falls Minor Hockey and Greater Fort Erie Minor Hockey, and also volunteered with Fort Erie Figure Skating Club. Doug is survived by his wife Janelle, children Chelsea and Robert, grandchildren Arwyn and Shea, and other relatives. He was predeceased by his sister's husband Frank.
