Gloria Margaret Bliss (nee Potyok)

Gloria Margaret Bliss, nee Potyok, passed away on July 18, 2026, in Fort Erie, Ontario, at the age of 86, surrounded by her five children. Born in Flin Flon, Manitoba, Gloria later moved to Fort Erie, where she attended Loretto High School and later earned her diploma at the age of 58. She was the wife of the late Raymond Milton Bliss, whom she married in 1964. Gloria is survived by her children, Matthew, Paul, Michele, Colleen, and Craig, as well as her grandchildren, Connor, Bee, Audrey, Alex, Nathan, Austin, Jacob, Ethan, and Kalan. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond and her parents, Steve and Sophie Potyok. Gloria will be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and dedication to her family and community, as evident in her extensive volunteer work with various organizations, including St. Vincent DePaul, Douglas Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, and the Catholic Women's League. Funeral arrangements are being handled by Benner Funeral Services.
