John Stewart PETTIT

John Stewart Pettit died peacefully in Fergus, Ontario, on Monday, May 11, 2026. He was the loving husband of the late Reverend Barbara Pettit, who predeceased him. He is survived by his loving partner, Diane Ronald, and his constant companion, Tansy. He is also survived by his son, Andrew Pettit, and his wife Susan, of Stoney Creek; his daughter, Heather Tinker, and her husband Simon, of Burlington; and his six grandchildren: David Turner, Erin, Megan Pettit, James, Adam, and Blake Tinker. He is also survived by his sister, Jane Holland, of Tecumseh, Ontario. A private graveside service will take place at Farnham Cemetery, followed by a Celebration of Life from 1:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 23rd, at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada or a charity of your choice.
