Margaret May (nee McLea) STEPHENSON

Margaret May Stephenson (nee McLea) passed away on March 26, 2026, at the age of 95. She was the loving wife of George, who predeceased her in 2002, for 44 years. Margaret was the cherished mother of Michelle Hopper and her husband Tom, and John and his wife Mariette. She was the daughter of William and Victoria McLea. Margaret was the sister of Bill McLea, who predeceased her in 1998, and his wife Bernice, Beatrice McClenaghan, whose husband Bill predeceased her in 2011, and Pilot Officer/Air Gunner John McLea, who predeceased her in 1944. She was also the sister-in-law of Jim Stephenson and his wife Jane, Bill Stephenson and his wife Darlene, and Shirley McKay and her husband Ted. Margaret will be sadly missed by many nieces and nephews. At her request, cremation has taken place. A private, family Graveside Service will be held at a later date. The family wishes to express special thanks to the kind and compassionate staff at Stirling Heights, Reverend Sandy Zondervan, Mary Friesen, Sandra Pickett, and Hailey Hopper. Margaret is reunited with her family and cherished pets. If desired, expressions of sympathy to a worthy animal welfare organization would be sincerely appreciated.
