David Andrew Sheppard

David Andrew Sheppard passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, at the age of 97. He was the son of May and David Sheppard and brother to Barbara and Margie. David grew up in Ontario, Canada, where he met his wife, Aileen Halton, and they were married for 73 years. He served in the U.S. Airforce and later owned and operated Hermosa Construction as a general contractor. David and Aileen retired to Fallbrook, California, 36 years ago, where they were active community members and dedicated parishioners of St. Peter the Apostle Parish. He was a member of the Navy League and a Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus. David was the father of eight, grandfather to 14, and great-grandfather to 24. He is survived by his wife, Aileen. Visitation will be held on April 8 from 4-8 p.m. at Berry-Bell and Hall Fallbrook Mortuary, and a funeral mass will be held at St. Peter's in Fallbrook on April 9 at 11 a.m., with a reception immediately following. Donations can be made to the Diabetes Action Research and Education Foundation or the Cancer Research Institute.
