Peary (McLean) Laithwaite

Peary Laithwaite passed away peacefully with her family by her side at LHSC - Victoria Hospital on July 14, 2026, at the age of 82. She was the cherished and loving wife of the late Arn Laithwaite, to whom she was married for 60 years. Peary is survived by her children, Steve and Niki Laithwaite, Tammy Rinneard, and Robbie and April Laithwaite, as well as her grandchildren, Trent, Madison, Troy, Braedon, and Brooklynn, and her great-grandchildren, Harlow, Lennon, Frankie, and Layton. She is also survived by her siblings, Kim and Angela McLean, M.J. Chanyi, Ed and Pauline Laithwaite, and George Laithwaite. Peary was predeceased by her parents, Fran and Jock McLean, her brother John McLean, her brother-in-law Ron Chanyi, and her sister-in-law Julie Laithwaite. A dedicated member of the Lioness club for many years, Peary will be fondly remembered for her lively spirit and dedication to her family. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date, with details to follow. The family would appreciate donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in her memory.
