Donald Russell "Don" Froats
Donald Russell 'Don' Froats passed away peacefully at Jessica's House in Exeter on July 5, 2026, at the age of 92. He was the beloved husband of the late Boneta 'Bonnie' Froats, with whom he shared 60 years of marriage. Don is survived by his children, Brian and Elizabeth Froats, and his grandchildren, Adam, Patricia, Danielle, Martin, Lauren, Nadia, and Jason. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren, Vivian and Maclean. Don was predeceased by his parents, Harvey and Jean Froats, his siblings, Arthur, Glenn, and Gordon, as well as his child, Todd. Don's companion, Marion Hedden, and his late child, Jana, are also remembered. A long-time resident of Lucan, Don was dedicated to his community and was recognized with the 2026 Mayor's Honour Roll award. He was a member of the Lucan Heritage and Donnelly Museum and volunteered with the VON. A celebration of Don's life will be held at the Lucan Community Memorial Centre on July 11th. Cremation will be followed by a private family interment at St. James Cemetery, Clandeboye. The family appreciates donations to Jessica's House or the Humane Society London & Middlesex in Don's memory.
