THADEUS (TED) WISZ

Thadeus (Ted) Wisz passed away on July 26, 2026, at the age of 88. He was the beloved husband of the late Helen Wisz for over 50 years. Ted is survived by his children, Richard, Michael and his wife Sheri, Darren and his wife Lisa, and Peter and his wife Karen. He was a proud Dziadzi of Braden and his wife Anna, Natalie and her husband Wojciech, Chloe, and Lucas, as well as Dziadzi Senior to Henry. Ted is also survived by his brother Stan and his wife Linda, and many loving nieces and nephews. A graduate of the University of Toronto's Chemical Engineering program, Ted served as Dean of Technology at Ryerson Polytechnic University and was a Fellow of Engineers Canada. He was also an accomplished musician, graduating with First Class Honours with Distinction from The Royal Conservatory of Music. The family will receive friends at the Turner & Porter Butler Chapel on July 29, 2026, from 4-8 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be held at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church on July 30, 2026, at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or The Kidney Foundation of Canada.
