Joseph M MARTIN

Joseph M Martin passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at the age of 86. He was the beloved husband of Hannah (Weber) Martin for 63 years. Joseph was a loving father of Amsey (Verna), Urias (Nancy), Susannah, John (Laurene), Noah (Lovina), Aden (Eva), and Selina, all of Elmira. He is survived by 28 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, brother Henry (Mary), and sister Sarah (Ervin) Martin. Joseph is also survived by his brother-in-law Mary Martin, Ion (Saloma) Martin, Saloma Weber, Selema Martin, Amsey Martin, Urias (Betty) Weber, Amon (Mary) Weber, and Wesley (Esther) Weber. He was predeceased by his parents Urias and Annie (Martin) Martin, one son in infancy, one great-grandson, brothers Noah (Edna) Martin, Israel (Nancy) Martin, David Martin, sisters Nancy (Amsey) Martin, Maryann Martin, brothers-in-law Henry Weber, Paul Martin, and sisters-in-law Lydia Martin, and Annie Martin. Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 1-4 and 5-8 p.m. and on Friday, June 5, 2026, from 12-5 p.m. at the home of Aden and Eva Martin, 2240 New Jerusalem Rd., Elmira. A family service will be held at the home on Saturday, June 6, 2026, at 9 a.m. then to Springfield Mennonite Meeting House for burial and public service.
