Dennis Gordon LICHTY

Dennis Gordon Lichty passed away peacefully at home on August 26, 2026, at the age of 93, following a brief battle with Acute Leukemia. Just eight days prior, he celebrated 70 years of marriage to his beloved wife, Barbara (Starke). Dennis was a devoted father to Diane, Judy, Brian, and Laurie, and will be fondly remembered by his eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He is survived by his sister Marlene Gilles and sister-in-law Ann (Jim) May, and was predeceased by his parents, Gordon and Gertrude Lichty, as well as his sisters and brother-in-law. Born on July 14, 1933, near Conestogo, Dennis took over the family farm after marrying Barbara on August 18, 1956. He later enjoyed retirement in a new home in the woods and served as a local school bus driver for 11 years. A funeral service will be held on September 3, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Dreisinger Funeral Home, with a reception to follow and a family interment at St. James Lutheran Cemetery.
