David Charles Hackert

David Charles Hackert passed away on August 4, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on January 26, 1950, he was the son of the late Ernest and Edith Hackert. David was predeceased by his daughter Laura Jacky and his brothers Bob and Bill. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Margaret Goulding, and their children Chad Hackert and his wife Mandy, and Andrew Hackert and his wife Anne. David is also survived by his grandchildren Arya, Hunter, Jedidiah, and Greysen. He enjoyed spending time with his family, fishing, golfing, and traveling. David was a devoted husband, proud father, and treasured grandfather. A visitation will be held at the Dreisinger Funeral Home in Elmira on August 9, 2026, from 2 to 5 p.m., followed by a celebration of his life on August 11, 2026, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations.
