Kathryn ZAVITZ

Kathryn I. Zavitz (nee Nichol) passed away on May 20, 2026, at the age of 86, at Solstice Senior Living in East Amherst, New York. She was born on January 16, 1940, in Bright, Ontario, Canada, to Thomas 'Arch' and Ella Nichol. Kathryn was predeceased by her parents, her husband of fifty years, Robert H. Zavitz, and her sister, Jean. She is survived by her son, Jeffrey Zavitz, of West Seneca, New York, her daughter, Karen (Lance) Michel, her grandsons, Thomas and Connor, her sister-in-law, Barbara Cotton (Zavitz), and many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the ladies of Luann's Caring Angels, her therapy providers, and the staff at Solstice Senior Living for their care and service. In accordance with Kathryn's request, there will be no public services, and a private family observance and interment have been scheduled.
