Jakob "Jake/Jim" David Janzen

Jakob 'Jake/Jim' David Janzen of Dunnville, Ontario, passed away on August 30, 2026, just shy of his 86th birthday. Born in Ukraine on September 4, 1940, he was the son of David and Helene (Wiebe) Janzen. After World War II, he immigrated to Canada with his mother, initially settling in Manitoba before moving to Ontario. In 1965, he married Hertha Klassen, and they raised two sons, David and Robert. The couple enjoyed winters in Florida and summers on Lake Erie until Hertha's passing in 2019. He was predeceased by his wife, parents, and brother, John. He is survived by his sons, David and Robert (Andrea), grandchildren Shaylyn (Calvin), Rachael, and Andrew, great-grandchildren Elliot and Lennox, and in-laws Frieda Janzen and Victor (Mitzi) Klassen. Visitation will be on September 3, 2026, at South Cayuga Community Church, followed by the funeral service and interment. Memorial donations may be made to South Cayuga Community Church or Haldimand War Memorial Hospital.
