Waldi Wischnewski

Waldi Wischnewski, a devoted husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at St. Peter's Hospital on July 13, 2026, at the age of 90. Born on December 14, 1935, in Lithuania, Waldi was the son of Johann and Emma Wischnewski. He is survived by his beloved wife, Rose, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage, and their children, Conrad and Curt. Waldi was also a cherished grandfather to Andrius, Justine, Kaya, and Naliah. He was predeceased by his brother, Arno, and sisters, Astrid and Hilda. Waldi co-owned and operated Commercial Upholstery for over 30 years, earning respect for his craftsmanship and dedication. He enjoyed the outdoors, spending time at the cottage, fishing, and taking road trips across Canada to visit family. A visitation will be held at Turner Family Funeral Home in Dundas on July 24, 2026, followed by a funeral service and interment at Dundas Parkside Cemetery. The family appreciates donations to the Alzheimer Society of Hamilton and Halton and extends gratitude to the staff of St. Peter's Hospital for their kindness and care.
