Susan V. NOAKES

Susan Noakes passed away on July 22, 2026, at the age of 75, at St. Peter's Hospital in Hamilton. She was a devoted volunteer with the Crown Point Garden Club and held degrees in Urban Planning and Museum Curation, which led to her work at the Welland Historical Museum and Toronto's Black Creek Pioneer Village. Susan is survived by her siblings, Jeff Noakes, Laurie Powell, Doug Noakes, Chris Noakes, Anissa Noakes, and Craig Noakes. A private burial has taken place in the natural burial area at Mount Hamilton Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hamilton YWCA housing programs or the environmental initiatives coordinated by the Hamilton Community Foundation. A celebration of her life will be held in Hamilton in the fall, with details to be announced on the Circle of Life Cremation and Burial Centre website.
