Sister Moira McClafferty

Sister Moira McClafferty entered eternal life in the peace of the Lord at the Precious Blood Monastery in Hamilton on May 2, 2026, at the age of 94. She was born on October 24, 1931, in Springhill, Cumberland County, Nova Scotia. Sister Moira was predeceased by her parents, Joseph Neil McClafferty and Monica Mary McLaughlin. She is survived by her sister, Sheila McIntyre, and her husband, Vincent, and is lovingly remembered by her nieces, Moira and Colleen, and her nephews Brian and Sean. Sister Moira served as Superior in several of our monasteries and worked for many years as Secretary and then as our General Treasurer. Prayer will be held at the Monastery of the Sisters of the Precious Blood, 154 Northcliffe Avenue, Dundas, ON, on Wednesday, May 6, at 10:30 a.m., followed by the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. Father Pawel Stankiewicz will preside, assisted by Father Michael Prieur and Father Frank O'Connor.
