Leon Guy EHLER

Leon Guy Ehler passed away on February 1, 2026, at the age of 91. Born in Guysborough County, Nova Scotia, he lived a long, full life defined by devotion to family, quiet strength, strong faith, and a kind and loving spirit that touched everyone who knew him. He was a loyal Stelco employee, retiring as a shift foreman after 38 years. He shared a wonderful marriage of 52 years with Norma Pauline, who predeceased him in 2011. After her passing, he married Marie, with whom he shared eleven years, marked by warmth and renewed happiness. He will be greatly missed by his six children: David (Jeanne), Valerie (Tom, deceased 2023), Carol, Jonathan (Jane), Tamara (Polly), and Jason (Jennifer). He also leaves behind nine grandchildren, Ariel, Jordan, Hannah, Caleb, Tara, Monty, Jacob, Claire, and Julia, and two great-grandchildren, Rebecca and Sara. He was predeceased by his parents, John and Mary, and six siblings, Harvey, Michael, Ray, Clyde, Bernice, and Jim. He leaves behind five surviving siblings, Rose, Chester, Beverly, Orn, and Barry, who will remember him for his kindness, steady presence, and the deep family bonds he helped nurture.
