"Jay" Gyula Pakozdi passed away on February 23, 2026, at the age of 77, at Hamilton General Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario. Born on August 27, 1948, in Tatabánya, Hungary, Jay travelled to Canada with his family in 1957. They settled in Hamilton, where he spent the rest of his life building lasting memories, friendships, and connections. A service in Jay's memory will be held on March 9, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Grove Cemetery in Dundas, Ontario.
