Harold (Hal) George DEVINS

Harold (Hal) George Devins passed away on Friday, April 24, 2026, at the age of 79. He was the cherished husband of 58 years to Adrienne (nee Walker). Hal was a wonderful father to Sandra (Scott), Renée (Rob), and Beth (Barry), and a devoted Grandad to Christina, Nathan, Jessica, Ewan, and Dylan. He is survived by his twin Harv (Rose), and Barry, and fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews. Hal was predeceased by his parents, Erika and Mel Devins, his brother, Dale, sister-in-law, Maureen, and his in-laws, Ray and Mollie Walker. Hal worked at Stelco in finance for 33 years, retiring as Supervisor of Cost Accounting at Hilton Works. He was an active member of St. John the Evangelist in Hamilton, recipient of the Order of Niagara, and a founding member of the charity Canadian Friends of Hôpital Albert Schweizter - Haiti, where he served as the first president. Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 2, from 5-8 p.m. at St. John the Evangelist Church, and the funeral will be on Sunday, May 3, at 3 p.m. at the church. Interment will be at White Chapel, Hamilton, on Monday, May 4, at 11 a.m. Donations in Hal's memory can be made to St. John the Evangelist, Hamilton.
