He is survived by his partner Ulla Hansen‑Hinzmann, his children Carl and Juno, his sister Astrid Romero, his sister‑in‑law Lotte Henke, his grandsons Kiran and Dilan, and his niece Elena Romero. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to Margaret's Place Hospice in Dundas.
