Arno Dieter REUTER

Arno Dieter Reuter passed away peacefully at WRHN-Chicopee in Kitchener on July 16, 2026, at the age of 92. He was the beloved husband of Kathe for 67 years and a loving father to Fred, Mike, and Jim. Arno was also a devoted grandpa to Nick, Matt, Gregory, and Jenny, and a great-grandpa to Mads Reuter. He will be sadly missed by Heather and Rob Hanek. Predeceased by his parents, Fritz and Ida, brothers Lothar and Werner, and brother-in-law Nicholas, Arno is survived by his sisters Gretal and Helga, as well as nieces and nephews in Germany. A skilled bricklayer, Arno designed and built several homes, including his own, and enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and various construction projects. He and Kathe were faithful members of Trinity Lutheran Church in Hamilton and cherished a lifelong friendship with Kurt Braun and Hedy. After retiring from Stelco, Arno and Kathe traveled to Australia and several European countries. The family would like to thank the staff at Queens Square Chartwell and WRHN hospitals for their care. A special thank you is extended to the residents of Sleepy Hollow Court in Dundas, where Arno and Kathe lived for 30 years. As per Arno's wishes, cremation has taken place, and interment will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
