Lenore Thamar Roach (née Bryan) passed away on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, at the age of 89. She was the beloved wife of Charles for over 63 years. Lenore was a cherished mother of Michelle (Michael Bergin) and a devoted grandmother of Emma and Mary (Serena). She will be dearly missed by her sister, Dianne Higgins, and her stepsister, Patricia Hill. Lenore will be fondly remembered by her nieces, Vicki and Beth, and nephews, Christopher, Peter, Steven, and Jeffrey. Lenore was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Thamar Bryan (née Stuart), stepmother, Kathleen Bryan (formerly Hill), and step-siblings, Michael and Carol. Lenore had a fulfilling teaching career with the Peel Board of Education, retiring after 35 years of dedicated service. She served as Vice President of the Hamilton Ladies Golf Association and later as Club President of the Burlington Lawn Bowling Club. Lenore enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters, on their many Disney vacations. The family would like to thank the staff at Joseph Brant Memorial Hospital for their compassionate care. Visitation will be held at SMITH'S FUNERAL HOME, 1167 Guelph Line, Burlington, on Wednesday, June 24th from 3-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. John's Anglican Church, 2464 Dundas St, Burlington, on Thursday, June 25th at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be sincerely appreciated by the family.
