Ruth Irene (Jantzi) SHANTZ

Ruth Irene Shantz (Jantzi) of Drayton passed away on May 30, 2026, at the age of 90. She was the beloved wife and faithful partner of Lyall for over 60 years. Ruth is sadly missed by her four children Kevin (Sharon), Dale (Melodie), Randy (Karen), and Luanne Noble (Corrie). She was deeply loved by her eleven grandchildren Beth, Tory, Alex, Matt, Hanika, Jemcah, Domonique, Micayla, Joel, and Samantha, and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Paul (Hanne). She was predeceased by her husband Lyall, her parents Rudy and Susanna Jantzi, her sisters Naomi and Ellen, and her grandson Steven. The family will receive friends at Community Mennonite Fellowship, 109 Wellington Street S., Drayton on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026, at Community Mennonite Fellowship at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Drayton Victoria Cemetery later in the day.
